I'm having trouble getting SlimServer to start on suse 10.1. I've downloaded and installed the 6.5.1 rpm succesfully, and followed the instructions in the wiki. I put the script (slimserver.init) in /etc/init.d and used yast in expert mode to set slimserver.init to runlevel 5, and even start it. Yast shows slimserver.init as enabled.
When I ./slimserver.init start (/etc/init.d) I get a 'failed' message: Starting SlimServer: checkproc: Usage: checkproc [-v] [-k] [-p pid_file] /full/path/to/program startproc: Usage: startproc [-f] [+/-<prio>] [-s] [-u uid] [-g gid] [-v] [-l log_file|-q] /full/path/to/program failed When I ./slimserver.init status I get: Checking for slimserver daemon checkproc: Usage: checkproc [-v] [-k] [-p pid_file] /full/path/to/program Is there something I'm missing? -- Ross L Ross Levine - Slim Devices Technical Support [EMAIL PROTECTED] - +1.650.210.9400 ext. 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ross L's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4416 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33409 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
