Yep.  That's the header from the SUSE startup script.  So you're on the
right track.

As for installation, I generally just use the RPM command in a shell
session.  As far as I know, however, the GUI should do pretty much the
same thing (although it allows you to point to a remote repository so
you don't have to already have the RPM file locally).
