Thanks bukharin! You look to be fairly new here - glad to have you around! To edit this etc/mtab file, I'm going to need to do sudo gedit etc/mtab aren't I? If I just open the file as user "test", it indicates read-only.... Once that's done, I assume the drive will always start up with the correct umask, or will I have to repeat this process?
