You can issue the 'gksudo nautilus' command from a terminal window but
you probably need to correct the folder ownership/permissions problem.
The files in the directory /usr/share/slimserver and below should be
owned by  user slimserver not root. 

What does the output from "ls -al /usr/share/slimserver" look like?
