So SuperQ, what is your preferred method for writing to the slimserver
directory, for example to install plugins? gksudo nautilus, as I did?
Is there not a more direct way (GUI) to call up an administrative level
file manager, than via the command line?

Thanks for the clarifications Patrick. Of course, conflicting answers
on appropriate permissions have left me still unsure.....
