        True.  What I am getting at is there is likely a way to
        configure grip (even if it's redirecting output in the ripper
        config or something gross) so that you see the data.

        Check your easytag settings under "ID3 Tag Settings" and you'll
        see the the options for some of this...oh, wait, I don't see it
        there.  Geeze, what am I confusing?  [I know I have had to strip
        out PLENTY of ID3v1 tags in my library, so I must be blanking.]
