I'm not scared of the CLI. I'd prefer a GUI, but if the GUI won't do it, I'll gladly use the CLI. > If you > select all of the tracks (I use shift-click) and then change the > field in question, just hit the little button to the right of it > and they will all be updated. The key was that "little button". Press that and all fields are updated across all files globally. :-) > Check your easytag settings under "ID3 Tag Settings" and you'll > see the the options for some of this...oh, wait, I don't see it > there. Geeze, what am I confusing? [I know I have had to strip > out PLENTY of ID3v1 tags in my library, so I must be blanking.] You can set it to write certain tag types only, but you can't set it to remove certain tag types set by others and leave other tag types alone. I've set it to write ID3v2 only. I hope it's not writing ID3v2.4 because those files lock up my PocketPC. I have to write ID3v2.3 tags. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34505 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
