Thanks again Mark, I am beginning to relise that a lot about Linux configurations involves copying and pasting commands into the Terminal.
When I right click sda5 I am given the option to "unmount" the drive but not mount it, so presumably it is already mounted.I was not able to get beyond this point with your instructions to point the directory with the sudo commands.
