IIRC leave everything as distributed - the changes to the prefs file are necessary to connected to a MySqld which servers more than just slimserver.
The file my.tt in Slimserver/MySql is the template for the my.cnf file which will be created in the cache direcory. I think there is something to do with sockets to set up but it will become obvious once you try to get slimserver going. If you have problems getting mysqld going look at the my.cnf settings - but change the settings you need by changing the my.tt file and then deleting the my.cnf. MySql Errors will be logged to a file mysql-error-log.txt in the cache directory. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34983 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
