Type "ifconfig" on the command line of the SS/Ubuntu machine.

Should come up with something like this:

Code:
--------------------
    eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:19:66:16:0A:6C
  *inet addr:192.168.1.3*  Bcast:192.168.1.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
  inet6 addr: fe80::219:66ff:fe16:a6c/64 Scope:Link
  UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
  RX packets:341269 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
  TX packets:373645 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
  collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
  RX bytes:196628276 (187.5 MiB)  TX bytes:347368357 (331.2 MiB)
  Interrupt:23 Base address:0xe800

  lo        Link encap:Local Loopback
  inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
  inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
  UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:16436  Metric:1
  RX packets:151334 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
  TX packets:151334 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
  collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
  RX bytes:46959026 (44.7 MiB)  TX bytes:46959026 (44.7 MiB)
--------------------

The IP address is at the start of the second line, 192.168.1.3 in my
case - I've put it in bold. Enter that in your SB when it asks for the
address of SS.
