Actually, I now realise this would only be an issue if I were leaving
an SD repo active to do automatic updates.  In fact I only 
update/reinstall SS as I need to, and I have the SD repos rem-ed out in
sources.list.  So I can leave them at the top of the list, and when I do
un-rem one of them (stable or testing) to activate it I'm sure to
install the SD packages.

And even if the SD repo is at the top, I now know, thanks to you,  how
to deal with the libpath-class-perl update nag if I need to!
