I am running Michael's DSL-based SlimCD 1.86 on a nano-ITX board, and I am having trouble streaming aacPlus streams off the internet.
I was able to pass the initial experiment of playing: mplayer -playlist http://www.sky.fm/aacplus/classical.pls That worked fine, and I could hear audio on the mini-jack of my nano-ITX board using a pair of earbuds! Yes - that was exciting:) I then tried editing convert.conf, types.conf, and strings.txt as suggested on the AACplus wiki page. That did not work. I then modified the aap statements in convert.conf to resemble the rtsp statements found in the custom-convert.conf file in the Alien plugin folder. That did not work either - what I get is a constant "Checking Stream" message on my Soft Squeeze display. At present, I am merely attempting to convert to WAVE and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am successfully using mplayer to decode AAC files. If I can get this nano-ITX board fully functional, it is going to be very cool. -Ron -- Ron F. *Squeezebox setup:* wireless SB3 -> CI Audio VDA.2 DAC + VAC.1 PSU *Main rig:* NAD 7600 + NAD 2600A -> Phase Tech PC-6.5 speakers *Headphone rig:* Headroom Max -> Sennheiser 650s *Other stuff:* NAD C542 CDP, NAD 6300 Tape, Monster 5100 Power conditioner, Outlaw Audio cables ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ron F.'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5616 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35744 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
