The baseline custom-convert.conf looks like it belongs to AlienBBC in
which case it should be in the Plugins/Alien directory and not in the
server directory.  Having mulitple custom-convert.conf files in
separate directories avoid this problem of updating distributed files.

mplayer does not handle ape.  The applications "mac" handles decxoding
of ape format. It is part of the distribution for Windows, OSx and
Linux x86.  If it is not parts of SSODS, then you would need to get the
source from http://www.monkeysaudio.com and build a version for Ds-107
(or possibly ask flipflip nicely).
