I have been running slimserver on an old windows server for a few years
now. I want to migrate over to new machine and plan to run linux on
it. I am curious to know which distribution will give me the fewest
headaches. If you can also recommend a version of a distribution, that
would be great too.
I'm fairly proficient with this stuff but do not consider myself a
Linux expert. I do not do want spend tons of time troubleshooting
little problems and digging through forum threads for help if there is
a relatively easy path via a 'preferred' distro.
So, if you had to choose any linux distro, that would be used pretty
much exclusively for running slimserver, what would it be?

Thanks for your consideration,

Keith

P.S. - One more little tidbit, I store my music files off on an Infrant
ReadyNAS. I wanted to run slimserver directly on this, however the
machine is not up to the task of indexing my large collection at
reasonable speed. Does anyone know what linux distro the ReadyNAS x6
uses?
