Thanks again Alan, I'm now more or less sure that running the Java client and SoftSqueeze doesn't leave enough CPU for this machine to do any FLAC decoding, and although it seems happy enough with WAV streams there's the occasional click which probably corresponds to some other cron job stealing CPU time. It's on the limit. I've done some poking around in the SlimServer docs and it appears it's possible to have a custom-convert.conf to force SlimServer to convert all streams to a one particular player to WAV, leaving the others alone. This might do what I need. So:
Does anyone have an example custom-convert.conf that has all formats for a single player converted to WAV that I could use as an example? Does anyone have any experience running SqueezeSlave on Damn Small Linux 4.2.5? I intend to investigate this next if the custom-convert.conf idea fails and could use any hints. -- hellesangel ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hellesangel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5658 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43343 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
