Hi everyone,
Perhaps someone can help me get softSqueeze running on a Damn Small
Linux 4.2 installed on a very old laptop. The server is running SuSE
Linux 10.0 and I have other laptops running softSqueeze, as well as
SqueezeBoxes which all work fine. Under DSL everything seems fine
until softsqueeze is asked to play audio, then nothing happens, but I
do get the occasional cryptic error message.

Another favourite error, this one trying to listen to BBC Radio 4
through AlienBBC, but the same error comes up if I try to listen to WAV
files:

The computer has plain DSL 4.2.5 installed, with JREL_5_0.tar.gz
downloaded and apparently working. As DSL comes relatively no frills
perhaps I'm missing a codec or two, but I'm clutching at straws. Can
anyone point me in the right direction, or at least give me a clue?
