After 6.5.x, the web interface was really slow on the TS-101, it did
only hvae 64MB and a 250MHz processor after all.

Yeah the N5200 isn't for everybody. I wanted network storage for all my
data including music, photos, douments, downloads, backups, archival,
etc. The N5200 fits the bill for me. The N5200 does have a lot of
function built in, but it also has an open module framework so the user
community has added a great deal of functionality with aditional
software (including SqueezeCenter). Here are a list of modules -

N5200Pro share the same OS and modules.

I'm not intending developing for SC (I'm not a programmer) but I'd like
to give something back by beta testing some of the nightly builds for
the team. I have a reliable HTPC now too which is on all the time
anyway.
