I have the same problem as the original poster. The issue with AlienBBC and mplayer is that they require a GUI Desktop version of Linux. But if you have a command-line only server, what do you do? I've tried using ffmpeg i.e. my convert.conf file has this:
wma mp3 * * [ffmpeg] -v 0 -i $FILE$ -f wav - | [lame] $-x$ --resample 44100 --silent -q $QUALITY$ --abr $BITRATE$ - - But the problem is Softsqueeze doesn't seem to recognize the wma streams coming out of this for real time radio wmv streams. I've searched and found a zillion posts on this issue. Some people solve the problem with AlienBBC/mplayer because they have X11 gui installed on their servers. Other people, I'm assuming with only command-line servers, never seem to get an adequate answer that solves their problem. Is there a command-line wma converter that does NOT require a graphical environment to be installed? I'd love to listen to wma streamed radio stations via softsqueeze. thanks in advance -- webfoot_tech ------------------------------------------------------------------------ webfoot_tech's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13273 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48645 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
