The configure routine for mplayer will select the maximum options according to the system (e.g. test for X11, DVD etc.)
Mplayer is a bit of a swiss army knife app and has decoders for a very large number of formats both audio & video. You can disable with "configure" many formats/options but it will be trial & error to determine if mplayer still works with those option disabled. ffmpeg is very similar - it too requires a large number of libraries / packages. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48645 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
