Don't know about your distro, but many/most use 'pm-utils' (http://pm-utils.freedesktop.org/wiki/) to suspend and hibernate. This introduces a whole new set of pre-suspend/hibernate and post-wake scripts that you can use to call ethtool. I have mine set to reinitialize the network interfaces as part of shutdown and do it again immediately after waking (just to be sure). As I don't use DHCP for the SC server, reinitializing the interfaces doesn't cause loss of connectivity (just re-applies my ETHTOOL_OPTS settings).
If you have added an init script to manage WOL, maybe you want to call it as part of the pre-suspend/hibernate scripts? -- syburgh ------------------------------------------------------------------------ syburgh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14239 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51123 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
