Tried yesterday to get it working with my Neoware Via thin client with
an integrated 8139 network card that uses the 8139too driver, no joy. I
tried first under Debian, and after I hosed that install, under Ubuntu.
I followed a lot of wiki pages and howto's, all in vain. I could get it
working once by disabling acpi and pressing the power button on my box
to shut it down, which was the same as plugging the power cord since
acpi didn't do a proper shutdown, and left the filesystem corrupt
(fortunately only the OS partition, fsck checked also the music
partition, but didn't report any error there, it said only something
like 11% non contiguous, which hopefully really means that no files
were corrupted). After that the box waked from a magic packet, but
certainly you understand this procedure is not viable.
So I have given up on Debian based distros and wanted to ask if anyone
has it working and if yes with which distro or if anyone knows a distro
I might try that has spent some more resources on the kernel and network
drivers regarding WoL.

Thank you, signorRossi.
