I am trying to get Max Spicer's caller id script to work on my ubuntu
8.04 machine. His instructions (found here:
http://www.thespicers.net/cid.html) tell me to edit the /etc/inittab
file so that mgetty will run at system startup. However, Ubuntu does
not use init or /etc/inittab anymore, so I am looking for help on how
to have mgetty process run automatically when the machine is booted.
Can anyone offer some help?

Thanks,

Tom
