That's actually not a bad idea. Running Solaris I use mplayer for AAC and ALAC and that info wasn't readily available when I needed it. Perhaps rather than go by platform, give more options in the custom-convert.conf such as grouping it by decoder, such as: #FAAD2 decoder used on Linux etc. #mov flac * * #Mplayer decoder used on Linux, Solaris, *BSD, etc. mov flac * * alc flac * * Just uncomment and go. If there are any really weird ones (like Solaris) some special notes or additional entries that are shown as platform specific may be needed.
