What you could try is to manually add the apt-source to your /etc/apt/sources.list If you do that then synaptic and other package managers should be able update and install.
I'm currently testing with the stable release of Squeezecenter so the means the first line in my /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main My problem is similar to yours in the sense that I cannot get working squeezecenter running unless I reinstall the package apt-get install --reinstall squeezecenter. I'm running a debian sid not an ubuntu, but you should be able to add the line to your sources.list file with the following sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list Hope this helps RSS -- [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [email protected]'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21856 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57553 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
