Michael, I am not at home, but I will try copying to a name without accented character and back as soon as I get a chance.
Moonbase I can understand that in some occasions there would be problem with all these character sets being involved. However in the current case I did connect the drive to the Windows PC, copy the file over, disconnect, reconnect on the linux PC and copy the file over.
