Toby is right, it would not be without trouble to use the plugin on
windows. The plugin does quite a few Linux specific things:
* brutefir
* path handling
* using symlinks
* python stuff

and maybe more. So to replace the convolver somebody with a windows
system and perl knowledge must invest some time into the plugin. To get
it customized for both worlds. In the end, I started the plugin to have
a replacement for linux that is completely free and would have used
Inguz on windows.

I used brutefir without the plugin for more than a year, so you should
maybe just give the software a try, if you change to linux you can
switch to brutefirDRC or keep the windows system without a plugin.
