The sample rate of your filter should be the same as the sample rate of
most of your source material, so 44.1kHz is a good choice.

Brutefir supports filter samples in a variety of formats; check out the
"format" option in the brutefir documentation. If you are generating the
filter using drc then "FLOAT_LE" (32 bit floating point) matches its
default output.
