RPMS use a .spec file to configure what they do. If you download the source RPM you can look at the spec file and make a conary file that does the same thing. I have worked with rPath before and it's a good system it is very flexible but making conary packages is very difficult. There are some tools the convert spec to conery but it's still an uphill battle.
I would recommend using VortexBox instead of spending hours getting a conary package working you will have a system that just works in 1/2 hour. VortexBox makes a great file server as well and because it's based on Fedora 10 it's easy to install other packages on it as well. But hey I'm sure the rPath community would love a squeezecenter package so don't let me stop you :) -- agillis rip, tag, get cover artÂ… All you do is insert the CD! http://vortexbox.org agillis Lead Developer VortexBox ------------------------------------------------------------------------ agillis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21140 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=61260
