The new mplayer.sh takes a snapshot of the mplayer process tree shortly after mplayer tries to play a station. The actual process that stays behind is the inptu thread that is created once contact has been made iwith the sttaion and data has started flowing.
On a slow processor and/or a slow WMA station - that process tree snapshot may be made too early before the input thread has been created. I suggest try increasing the wait time before taking the snapshot "sleep 3" (in the proc_list procedure) to something like "sleep 6" or higher. The snapshot approach is conservative in that once "tuned" to you system/stations, most of the time the mplayer processes will be killed. An alternative approach I considered would be to remember the playing URL and kill any mplayer with the playing URL on termination - this would be less safe as wrong mplayer could be deleted. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62099 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
