Hmmm who is bigger? Well ubuntu and Fedora seem to have very similar sized communities. But ubuntu is based in Debian which has arguable the largest linux community in the world. Of course Fedora is owned by RedHat, the largest commercial Linux company.
The point is it doesn't really matter. You want a community of people that are doing the same thing you are on the same platform. For example if you install a generic Linux you can set it up any way you want. Music on a different partition, format your music partition with ext4 or xfs or even ext3. With VortexBox everybodys system starts out the same. You can customize it but you have a known quantity to start with. A working music server set up in a specific way. That makes trouble shooting in a user forum much easier. -- agillis rip, tag, get cover artÂ… All you do is insert the CD! http://vortexbox.org agillis Lead Developer VortexBox ------------------------------------------------------------------------ agillis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21140 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63761
