Not sure if anyone will be interested but I've just built a new linux server using centos, with RAID and LVM and a reasonable amount of tweaking. I've documented the whole thing on :
http://squeezesetup.wordpress.com/ Normally what happens is I build the server, its fine for 2 years, I buy a new disk/server/something and I can't remember what on earth I did 2 years ago, and the rebuild takes ages, so this is mainly for me, but if it helps others then so much the better. Currently I've only got pxe install, samba and squeezecenter covered, but eventually it will cover dovecot, fetchmail, mediatomb and putting webmail (probably roundcube) on as well.
