Thank you! The OSS version now works.
The .asoundrc file seems to fix the dropouts with the ALSA version. And I think ReplayGain is finally working after changing the default option in the SqueezeSlave.pm file. Sorry if this has been covered but are there reasons to use one or the other (ALSA vs. OSS)?
