Actually Vortexbox isn't a device (or a box), it's the software. It's a
Linux distribution (based on Fedora) that has SBS and related software
built-in. Since you're getting the Tranquil or FitPC without an OS, you
could easily install the Vortexbox distro, and if that doesn't work,
install something else like Ubuntu.

Also, if you did get the "Vortexbox appliance", you don't *have* to use
the optical drive for ripping and tagging. You could still use your
Windows and dBpoweramp for ripping and tagging. But you will have wasted
a few $$ on the optical drive.
