Actually Vortexbox isn't a device (or a box), it's the software. It's a Linux distribution (based on Fedora) that has SBS and related software built-in. Since you're getting the Tranquil or FitPC without an OS, you could easily install the Vortexbox distro, and if that doesn't work, install something else like Ubuntu.
Also, if you did get the "Vortexbox appliance", you don't *have* to use the optical drive for ripping and tagging. You could still use your Windows and dBpoweramp for ripping and tagging. But you will have wasted a few $$ on the optical drive. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70547 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
