Good luck, and please do keep us posted. Logitech is considerably better than some companies with regard to open source -- all their OSS work is readily available from SVN, for starters. And as far as I know, they aren't doing any Tivo-like firmware lockdowns, and there certainly isn't any Android-like denial of root access! My main beef is that it's nowhere near as easy (or appealing) to develop for SqueezePlay as for the GPLed SqueezeCenter/Squeezebox Server. I fear that Logitech corporate doesn't put much value on "developer relations" and isn't allowing the Squeezebox staff to spend much time making things better. -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet AutoDisplay'*' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/AutoDisplay.html#credit) BlankSaver ContextMenu FuzzyTime KidsPlay KitchenTimer PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SettingsManager SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70556 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
