I've seen a number of issue which seem to be cleared up when the stream uses MP3 rather than Flac which I feel may be a Javasound Flac support issue. It is interesting that your problem go away when using a slow speed MP3 streams. This points to a processor speed or multi core related issue.
I've asked before but you didn't reply. What is your processor model number ?
