BTW, did you look at backuppc as as backup solution ? Configuring it might be a little more involved than this Simple Backup Suite, but it is sophisticated enough to avoid blindly fill-up the drive. Can backup the local machine, and other machines on the network, including windows machines. Easy web interface for file retrieval.
