See post #15. You can change the location of the log file. This is
easily done by editing the startup script to point the LOGDIR
environment variable to a directory that isn't on a tmpfs.

Sorry, but I doubt a crippled-ass tablet version of Windows would be
any better. In fact, it's likely that the tablet runs Linux because it
_can't_ run Windows, though the Windows licensing costs may also be a
factor.

I guess I see what you're trying to do if it is a pure experiment just
to see if you can do it. But if "ultimately" another pc is going to be
on to serve the files, why not simply run SBS on that pc? It's not much
of a backup to the pc system if it relies on the pc being available.
