I always download an app called "NTFS Configuration Tool" every time I
do a new Ubuntu install, and prior to installing SBS. (Just like I also
install "restricted extras" right away, too).

With that, I haven't had to mess around with the fstab file and stuff
like that in a few releases. The NTFS drives appear correctly after you
put them through the motions with that tool.
