The lazy option, if it's not a shared drive, would be to make everything readable, writable and executable by everybody, which on Ubuntu would be sudo chmod 777 -R <folder> sudo gives you sufficient privileges to change the permissions chmod is the command to change permissions 777 is r+w+x for everybody -R will go through all subfolders I *strongly* recommend that you use the minimum permissions, for best security. Read the above link. SBS should only need read permission, I think, unless you are also using that drive for SBS settings. -- adamslim MPD on Linux PC, Young DAC, DIY Kondo M7 pre, 6B4G SET, Lowther monsters SB3, Charlize 2, DIY open baffle speakers Boom x 2, Radio ------------------------------------------------------------------------ adamslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7355 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89807 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
