Thats solid advice keep the OS at one drive, I use an 8 GB SSD drive
for the os.
And the music on 2 other drives.

For these kind od advice you can also go to ubuntus own forums or
google, how to mount drives and create "shortcuts" is well explained
elsewhere. Linux is well documentet online.
