I have been over and had a look at VortexBox - it might be what I am
looking for...
Still waiting for verification of my forum account so can't post there,
perhaps agilis might answer these questions here?!!

The minimum spec stated for VB seems somewhat high - my server is a
fanless, low power unit from Tranquil. This uses an Intel Atom 230
processor and has 2gig of RAM. Is this powerful enough to run your
distro?
Is it still possible to install other linux programs onto the VB machine
once installed? I have a UPS that has a monitoring program to shut down
the server after a set period of time if there is a power outage - would
I still be able to install this?

Many thanks

Nic
