I don't mind avoiding to run multiple instances of sox on the Geode in case both squeezelite and an SB3 play HD material unsynched (quite a corner case.) But is Alsa so good at doing bit depth and frequency resampling ? I am not looking for audiophile rendition (sox is set to transcode as coarsely and fast as I could find.) My goal is to get reliably clean sound out of the usb port.
