There are two buffers in squeezelite before the alsa output buffer.
This emulates what squeezeplay does and enables crossfade to work:
- stream buffer - holds the the compressed audio as streamed from the
tcp socket
- output buffer - holds decompressed audio which is transfered to alsa
when alsa is willing to receive some more data

The default sizes are 2M bytes for steam buffer and 10 seconds at 44.1k
for the output buffer. (Squeezeplay uses the same for output buffer and
3M for the stream buffer)

The -b option is specified in K bytes, so your 65536 is 64Mbytes for
each (which is way more than it needs to be... and I am worried that you
are getting into swapping?) Default is close to -b 2048:3446.
