Best to install the EDO applet or the Kernel Updater applet for this. The reason is that the kernel is not stored in the root filesytem, its in a separate partition on the filesystem. Edo will automatically install this for you... You can then logon and kill jive + change any priorities you want to get back to tune other things. Alternatively kernel updater will allow you to just change the kernel. The EDO kernel diffs are here: http://code.google.com/p/triodeapplets/downloads/detail?name=fulldiff.patch&can=2&q= This is essentially: - for the spdif driver, add extra divider values to support 192/176. This is a freescale driver from memory which didn't claim 192k support, but seems to work as long as you give the data fast enough - change the EHCI usb scheduler to support more usb dacs - add in selective patches from more recent linux kernels to get UAC2 support for usb - add a work around for the usb transaction translator for full speed usb devices Note Kernel updater allows trialling of a number of test kernels. I'll add the EDO kernel to this so you can use it to install the EDO kernel.
