Best to install the EDO applet or the Kernel Updater applet for this. 
The reason is that the kernel is not stored in the root filesytem, its
in a separate partition on the filesystem.  Edo will automatically
install this for you...  You can then logon and kill jive + change any
priorities you want to get back to tune other things.  Alternatively
kernel updater will allow you to just change the kernel.

This is essentially:
- for the spdif driver, add extra divider values to support 192/176. 
This is a freescale driver from memory which didn't claim 192k support,
but seems to work as long as you give the data fast enough
- change the EHCI usb scheduler to support more usb dacs 
- add in selective patches from more recent linux kernels to get UAC2
support for usb
- add a work around for the usb transaction translator for full speed
usb devices

Note Kernel updater allows trialling of a number of test kernels.  I'll
add the EDO kernel to this so you can use it to install the EDO kernel.
