Sorry to interrupt the flow of this technical thread only to ask some simple questions here:
Firstly thanks very much Triode for continuing to create these fantastic applications - I am currently using your Triode Spotify App for the Squeezebox Duet which I enjoy. I would just like to know Triode, if this Squeezelite program can completely replace the role of my Duet (which connects wirelessly to the LMS PC upstairs), yet give me the additional flexibility of playing via the USB port of my laptop (or netbook) to a USB DAC? Also have you got any simple step starters on how to run your program in Linux because I am a Linux first timer - I would like very much to boot Linux from a USB stick completely into a laptops memory with your Squeezelite application running in that Linux that reside in memory if at all possible. I understand that best sound quality can be had from memory so I thought this might be a good idea - it also prevents me from having to wipe Windows from my laptop when I can just boot Linux from a USB stick. I would also love to be able to control the streaming via the iPeng remote app. like I am doing now to the Duet.
