Paulster - where exactly do you download the mp3 DLL from for Windows (in my case Windows 8)? Do you just download the file and add it in the same directory as all the other squeezelite files then you are done? This, as you say, should kick the radio stations in - then I would have completion with Windows proving the concept at least, moving on then to Linux (help!) with the goal to achieve the highest quality SQ (wanting the equivalent of a hi-end transport into a usb DAC). I can then put into action a very little used netbook using the low energy Atom processor (which, albeit very slow, is still significantly faster than the SB Touch processor for hopefully lower latency throughput). But can you recommend a lightweight Linux (Puppy?) to support this lightweight 'squeezelite' which the Atom processor should find a breeze to deal with. Perhaps a Linux OS platform optimised for sound quality if there is such a thing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ stop-spinning's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43254 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
