Well, I've had some success. I downloaded the image and wrote it to an
8G SD card (Win32DiskImager) and plugged it into the Wandboard (dual).
I am trying to do this 'headless', so I booted it up and used Putty to
SSH into the Wandboard. I changed the network config files as
instructed in the first post (using vi) and the WiFi is working great.
I then started trying to get Squeezelite running and have had limited
success. My plan is to use the HDMI output connected to my home theater
sound bar. But I started with trying just the internal Wolfson SGTL5000
line out. The Squeezelite starts and I can control it using the iPeng
app on my iPhone, but the audio level is almost zero. So low that you
have to listen very closely to even notice it is playing at all
(headphones). I switched over to HDMI and the sound is good. But the
stability is not good. It will play for a few minutes at the most
before the squeezelite app 'crashes'. I usually have to power cycle the
wandboard to get it back playing. I guess my next step is going to be
trying to capture a debug log.
I should mention that I am using a very old version of LMS (running on a
NAS). It has been working well, so I haven't bothered updating the LMS
or the firmware on my Touch for at least a couple of years. Maybe that
is contributing to the instability?
