Yes , my Panasonic plasma has it readily aviable in a menu , but it is
thx classified so it figures .
My old Sony projector has not , my last CRT Sony TV had it in some
service menu .

It's an historical artefact from the days of masking film , there can be
unintended stuff in the margins of older stuff .
The term "overscan" comes from analog video ,the stuff when an electron
beam swooped over a raster of phosrfouros dots :) aka cathod ray tube .
( no nostalgia for that one ,yet ) .
