Hi, just found your player a few days ago while setting up my brutefir-box from scratch, nicely done and many thanks!
It works very well all in all exept for some occasional hickups, but the box is connected wireless atm, so this might actually be the cause. I have to test it with a network cable soon. I have one BIG wish though: Could you pleaaaaase implement jack as an output option? I tried both the alsa-jack bridge as well as jackplug but both have big issues for me. The mapping from alsa to jack seems to involve resampling in any case and all in all it sounds weird. Using any jack-aware player just sounds perect out of the box. Any chance here?
