The attach patch shows how I've managed to get a sane DHCP lease after [re]boots of the Wandboard.
Let me acknowledge that I got my main idea to work around this problem from Eli Billauer's blog post linked here: http://billauer.co.il/blog/2012/10/dhcp-ip-ntpdate-rtc/ His description of the issue matches my observations well.
